Mountain Miniatures is a complete miniature store. You'll find all the dollhouse scales represented (one inch, half-inch, quarter-inch, and 1/144) and some for train enthusiasts. We have kits for doll houses (both front and back opening) and log cabins, or plans to make your own, components used in building, and everthing you'll need to decorate and furnish your house or cabin. We also have a complete line of accessories for making miniature gardens - with live plants if you like. Each month there is a class offered to learn skills and expand your knowledge of miniatures.

The Georgetown Mercantile has been a landmark for the past 29 years. Inside you'll find an assortment of regional gifts, souvenirs, and typical "mercantile" goods such as men's ties and socks, remedies, nail polish, scissors, and glue. Specifically, look for John Denver items, Geo-Situ reproduction benchmarks from the 14,000 ft peaks, a complete line of Breyer horses, American Girl books and activities, and the newly emerging Legacy Facades.

Historic St. James Vacation Rental is your lodging of choice for larger groups in Georgetown. The 1600 square feet take up the second and third floors of this historic building. It uses the second and third floors of the building. The three bedrooms and hide-a-bed in the living sleep 10. With a separate entrance from the back, our guests have total flexibility and privacy while enjoying the old-time feeling of "living" over the store.

Mountain Miniatures was founded in Georgetown, CO in February 2002 and opened it's doors for business in July that same year. By the following summer space was at a premium and when the Mercantile building came up for sale, it seemed the perfect fit. With the purchase of the Georgetown Mercantile building at 614 Rose Street the business quickly grew to include giftware, souvenirs, and general merchandise along with the miniatures. The dollhouses and accessories currently occupy about half the store. Along with the retail space on the first floor, there is a large apartment on the second and third floors. Using one of the names previously associated with this building, we call the vacation rental apartment the Historic St. James.
